MAFIKIZOLO performing live at Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens on Sunday, 15 September

Posted on Updated on

I got to know about Mafikizolo when I moved up from Cape Town 10 years ago. It must have been my excitement of moving to the big city, Johannesburg, and making a new life trying to find my pot of gold. I used to play their music non-stop, trying to sing along to words I did not understand and could not pronounce.

One of my favorite Mafikizolo songs at that time was “Ndihamba Nawe.”

This year, they released a big club banger of a track called “Khona.”

If you want to see Mafikizolo performing live on stage, then make sure you head to the OLD MUTUAL MUSIC IN THE GARDENS series in the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens on Sunday, 15th September.
