grammy-2014-performances-stevie-wonder-daft-punk-niles-rodgersI watched the Daft Punk performance at the Grammy’s with my good friends, DJ Dino Bravo and his producing partner, Lucky Mereki.  I saw that Stevie Wonder was on the stage with them as well as Farrell, with his silly looking Canadian Mounty hat. Lucky, who is a very accomplished South African musician himself, got very excited when he noticed the rest of the musicians on stage with them.

He rattled off their names which were:

Nathan East – Bass
Omar Hakim – Drums
Paul Jackson Jr. – Guitar
Nile Rodgers – Guitar

I must admit that I had no clue who they were and their pedigree as musicians. After reading up about them, I was very embarrassed as a music lover, that did not know who they were.

The funny thing about them is that we all have heard them playing their instruments in many popular musician’s albums and stage performances.
