Last week I attended the second Slots Factor media event, held at 3SIXTY in Montecasino. This was also the venue of last year’s event, which I wrote about. Like 2013’s event, the attending media contingent was once again offered a fun-filled evening with good entertainment and lekker food.
We were divided into groups of 10 people and then given the opportunity to experience the 2nd Slots Factor big prize gaming tournament from Tsogo Sun. Unfortunately for us, we did not get to play for the guaranteed R1.8 million in prize money, which you could win if you decided to take part.
With a cash buy-in of a R100, you can compete in the qualifying rounds, which will be held every week for eight weeks, and has already started on the 21st of July and will end on the 20th of September 2014. These Slots Factor events will be held in all 14 Tsogo Sun casinos around the country, with the semi-finals taking place at the various casinos on the 20th of September, culminating in the grand finale on the weekend of 27 and 28 September. The winner is guaranteed to take home a minimum of R1 million.
The 14 casinos participating in the Slots Factor tournament are Montecasino, Gold Reef City, Silverstar, Suncoast, Hemingways, The Ridge, Emnotweni, Golden Horse, Goldfields, Mykonos, The Caledon, Blackrock, Queens and Garden Route Casino.
I was lucky enough to have scored the third highest score in our group, and won a Tsogo Sun branded mobile phone charger.
The biggest surprise on the night for us was the goody bag gift, or box, in this case, which had a new DSTV Walka 7 mobile TV.
Thanks Tsogo Sun – that was a damn cool gift.
